It was all about the patella…and friendship in Helsinki, Finland as the 2022 meeting of the International Patellofemoral Study Group (IPSG) met to share and examine state of the art research and opinions regarding surgical and non-surgical treatment of patellofemoral problems.  The meeting was organized by IPSG Chairman Dr. Bill Post of Morgantown, WV and hosted in beautiful Helsinki by Dr. Petri Sillanpaa.  PF leaders from around the world attended the pandemic-delayed 3 day meeting which featured research presentations, panel discussions and special lectures on difficult topics. The IPSG, which was co-founded in 1995 by PFF President John Fulkerson as a group of friends with substantial academic expertise in PF disorders continues in that same spirit as a group of friends eager to learn and share thoughts and approaches to unsolved problems in the PF realm.

Business related decisions were made that include the election of Dan Green MD as the incoming membership chair and the 2024 meeting site in Montana.

The Patellofemoral Foundation was well-represented with board members John Fulkerson MD, Jason Koh MD, Dan Green MD, Ryosuke Kuroda MD, Laurie Hiemstra MD, Bill Post MD and Executive Director Eric Dahlinger in attendance.
