The Board of Directors of the Patellofemoral Foundation is extremely pleased to announce that Henri and David Dejour of Lyon, France, father and son are receiving the Foundation's 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award for their landmark work on patellofemoral trochlea dysplasia and for outstanding leadership in Orthopedic Surgery.

PFF Holds Annual Board Meeting in New Orleans

The Patellofemoral Foundation held its annual board meeting at the recent AAOS in New Orleans on March 9, 2018. Oceana Grill hosted the event which occurs prior to the annual luncheon and serves to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of PFF Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. This year the award was presented to Dr Robert Teitge of Detroit, Michigan.The Board continues to focus on education related specifically on diagnostic and treatment options for patellofemoral patients. Ample time was devoted to developing an effective, comprehensive, and high quality online education series.  The task is supported with the excellent volunteer support of several members of the International Patellofemoral Study Group (IPSG) that include Drs. Beth Shubin Stein (NYC), Seth Sherman (Columbia, MO), Jackie Munch (Portland, OR), and Adam Yanke (Chicago). The PFF Foundation Board of Directors at Oceana Grill in New Orleans.

“New Concepts in Patellofemoral Surgery: From Instability to Arthroplasty” Held September 9, 2016

The 5th annual surgical training course, “New Concepts in Patellofemoral Surgery: From Instability to Arthroplasty,” a joint sponsorship of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Patellofemoral Foundation took place on September 9, 2016 at the world-class Orthopaedic Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The Patellofemoral Foundation provided the Course directors which included John Fulkerson, MD (president of the PFF), Jack Farr II, MD (Vice-President), Andy Cosgarea, MD (Board Member), Jason Koh, MD (Secretary), and Bill Post, MD (Board Member). The foundation was responsible for coordinating the agenda for the lectures and the surgical demonstrations. The hands-on patellofemoral surgery course was designed to emphasize current anatomic, diagnostic and technical pearls that will help optimize patient outcomes. Instruction and lab time was available to help the participants discover how to perform precision MPFL and MQTFL reconstructions and examine how to move the tibial tubercle safely and appropriately.
