PFF Board Members Support Faculty at AONA Patellofemoral Education Meeting in La Jolla

The Patellofemoral Foundation (PFF) is proud to recognize the contributions of its board members who recently supported the faculty at the AONA Patellofemoral education sessions, which took place November 15–16, 2025, in La Jolla, California.

This AONA course under the leadership of Miho Tanaka and John Fulkerson brought together surgeons in training and practicing clinicians for a focused program on the diagnosis, treatment, and complication management of patella instability and arthritis. The educational experience was a two-day in-person meeting with lectures, discussions, practical exercises using Tactile synthetic legs and a post-course evaluation.

Course Focus and Impact

Participants strengthened their ability to evaluate Patellofemoral problems, develop operative treatment plans, perform essential surgical procedures on sythetic knees, and manage complications. The course served trainees in orthopedic sports medicine while also offering value to experienced surgeons.

Shared Commitment to Education

PFF’s involvement reflects its mission to support research and education that improve outcomes for individuals with anterior knee pain and instability. AO North America’s educational values—centered on excellence, innovation, and community—align closely with PFF’s commitment to advancing musculoskeletal care.

PFF is honored to have contributed to an event that strengthened clinical skills, encouraged collaboration, and supported the next generation of surgeons.
