The Patellofemoral Foundation (PFF) is proud to support the upcoming 26th International Sports Medicine Fellows Conference, taking place March 20–21, 2026, at the Westin–Sheraton Resort in Carlsbad, California. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing research and education around anterior knee pain and patellofemoral instability, PFF strongly believes in the importance of training the next generation of orthopaedic sports medicine leaders.
This year, PFF President Dr. John Fulkerson will serve as the keynote speaker, sharing his expertise on patellofemoral pain. Dr. Fulkerson is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale University, has authored numerous publications, and has served as team doctor for U.S. Olympic Ice Hockey and several professional hockey teams. His insights will provide fellows with valuable guidance for advancing patient care in sports medicine.
The ISMF Conference represents a premier educational opportunity for orthopaedic sports medicine fellows from around the world. Through high-level lectures, interactive case presentations, live surgical demonstrations, and hands-on workshops—including cadaveric patellofemoral and articular cartilage training—the conference delivers practical, cutting-edge instruction from a world-renowned faculty. These experiences directly support PFF’s mission by promoting improved diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies for complex knee conditions.
Under the leadership of distinguished directors and faculty from institutions such as Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute, Stanford University, and the University of Colorado, the ISMF Conference equips fellows with the skills and confidence needed to transition successfully from fellowship to clinical practice. PFF is honored to stand behind an event that prioritizes education, innovation, and patient outcomes, and we applaud the ISMF Conference for its continued commitment to excellence in sports medicine.
