Together for Progress: Insights from the 2025 Patellofemoral Foundation Luncheon

The 2025 Patellofemoral Foundation (PFF) Annual Board Meeting and Luncheon took place on Thursday, March 13, in San Diego, California, coinciding with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) conference. This year’s meeting was hosted by PFF founder and board president, Dr. John Fulkerson, who provided insightful highlights of the foundation’s accomplishments over the past year and shared the ambitious goals set for the future.

A key moment of the luncheon was the presentation of the prestigious PFF Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Bill Post had the honor of introducing Dr. Don Fithian, a distinguished figure whose significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of the patellofemoral joint have greatly impacted the field. It was a delightful opportunity to celebrate Dr. Fithian’s dedication and achievements alongside his wife, Dr. M.E. Fithian, while gathering with colleagues in San Diego.

Since its establishment in 2002, the Patellofemoral Foundation has been at the forefront of education related to the patellofemoral joint, aiming to improve knowledge and treatment practices worldwide.
