The Patellofemoral Foundation was proud to participate in the 2026 meeting of the International Patellofemoral Study Group (IPSG), held in Lyon, France from May 23rd through May 26th. The meeting brought together orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and researchers from around the world for several days of focused discussion, education, and collaboration centered on patellofemoral care.
PFF Board Member Dr. Bill Post welcomed attendees to the 2026 IPSG Academic Program, helping to set the tone for a conference defined by both scientific rigor and professional camaraderie.
The meeting started with a keynote address by Dr. Elizabeth Arendt entitled Bridges Across the Ocean…My PF Journey, which reflected on her distinguished career and the relationships, discoveries, and shared learning that have helped shape the field of patellofemoral medicine.
Attendees also praised the atmosphere and setting of the conference. As one participant reflected, “A beautiful location, great weather, a focused important topic, and a very gracious host in Dr. David Dejour! Lots of education, lively conversations, and valuable friendships!”
Those sentiments captured the spirit of the meeting and the values shared by both IPSG and PFF. The conference provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen professional relationships, and continue advancing the understanding and treatment of patellofemoral disorders through open, multidisciplinary collaboration.
PFF extends its gratitude to IPSG, Dr. David Dejour, and all who contributed to another successful and inspiring gathering. We look forward to continuing these important conversations in the years ahead.
